Class Evaluation

Class Evaluation Questionnaire I like how in computer science class we are learning how to create a website because this is something helpful in life this could help people when they want to expand businesses. I also like how we are timed in each assignment because it helps you improve your typing skills for a future job. I like how we move on step by step and not getting confused about anything. One thing that i do not like about this class is that we don't play games. Something I recommend to improve the class is to maybe give a 5 or 3 min break, to come back and stay on task. Statistics say that most people only give you their attention the first 20 mins you speak, after those 20 mins they start looking around and not paying attention. A highlight for me in this class was learning how to create a website and how to do many things on line. For example flashcards now i don't have to waste paper and i can add pictures without struggling. I also learned how to cre

10 Keys to Personal Power

The 10 Keys to Personal Power Brian Tracy Key 1: Clarity "Have vision. Determine what you want to be, do or have in life. Have a sense of direction and know where you're going. If you do not have clear specific goals in life, you are doomed forever to work for others who do." Key number one  clarity. By clarity i mean determination perseverance, and enthusiasm.Bringing them together so that it can help open up vision. For example a person with no goals in life seem to be like an undecided person, and have no control over what they want. In order to achieve  there has to be a why, whether  a goal, dream, or wish. 80% of decisions should be made the first they come up. its easy to make decisions if you know what you want. Once you have decided what is it that you want and set up a goal or plan on how you are going  to get there then you have taken control  over your life. Which gives you power. “Your inner strength is your outer foundation”  ― Allan
What i learned from this lecture from Covey was that we first need to sharpen the saw and before you can go ahead and cut the tree. Meaning that you first have to work with yourself before we can work with others. For example If a friend ask you advice on how to cut on sleeping late, but you have also been sleeping late. You cant just advice her without applying it herself. This is a seek first to understand, then to be understood situation. If you really want to help you friend because she might be showing poor effectiveness for sleeping late, then the best thing to do is to listen to her understand her and how she feels. Try to put yourself on her shoes and what is it that you would do if you were in that situation. Once you have it apply, if not try talking to her more and get her to express herself maybe then you can help.
